To All Webelos-II Packs and Dens: Troop 989 announces that we have reached our maximum number of new scouts for the 2010 recruiting year. Troop 989 is committed to providing a balanced Scouting program to all Scouts both young and old. In order to maintain this high quality program, and a manageable ratio of new scouts to Troop Guides and Patrol Leaders, we have reached our limit for new, first-year scouts. We are still accepting “Legacy” Webelos-II applications and second-year and higher scout applications. We also are keenly interested in making sure all boys are given the opportunity to continue in Scouting. Other Troops in the Littleton area should be considered for your continued Scouting successes. If you would like suggestions for alternative Troops in the Littleton area please contact us at scouting@bsatroop989.org Yours In Scouting Stan Kennedy, Troop 989 Scoutmaster Troop 989 is a Scout led troop serving Littleton, Colorado. Troop 989 provides an extensive and exciting schedule of activities that will satisfy both new and experienced scouts.    Each summer the troop embarks on at least one of the three BSA High Adventure trips of either Seabase, Northern Tier, or Philmont.    In other months we go to camporees, weekend camps, or one day hikes, tours, or events. One of our goals is to provide a well rounded scouting experience, and therefore the troop follows the Five Pillars of Scouting;
