An Adventure For Every Season

Why Troop 989?

Founded 32 years ago, Troop 989 in the Ken Caryl area of Littleton, Colorado is one of the largest scouting troops in the region and prides itself on being a very active troop, being boy-led and having fun!

Are you looking for tween or teen-friendly activities for your son? We welcome scouts ages 11- 17 to experience an extensive schedule of skill-building activities that will satisfy both new and experienced scouts. We camp every month (yes, even in the winter) which may include hiking, shooting, riding, boating, and more. The troop embarks on at least one life-changing BSA High Adventure trip and a classic scout summer camp every summer.

One of our goals is to provide a well-rounded Scouting experience, and therefore we follow the 4 aims of Scouting which are: character development, citizenship training, personal fitness (both mental and physical), and leadership development.

Join our Littleton Scout Troop for a meeting this week and see why 120 Eagles have successfully flown the nest!
