An Adventure For Every Season

Why Troop 989?

Founded 32 years ago, Troop 989 in the Ken Caryl area of Littleton, Colorado is one of the largest troops in the region and prides itself on being a very active troop, being boy-led and having fun!

We welcome scouts ages 11- 17 to experience an extensive schedule of activities that will satisfy both new and experienced Scouts. We camp every month (yes, even in the winter) and enjoy new activities each week including hiking, shooting, riding, boating, and more. Every summer the troop embarks on at least one life-changing BSA High Adventure trip and a classic scout summer camp.

One of our goals is to provide a well-rounded Scouting experience, and therefore we follow the 4 aims of Scouting which are: character development, citizenship training, personal fitness (both mental and physical), and leadership development.

Join us for a meeting this week and see why over 110 Eagles have successfully come out of our troop!
